At Modlux Interiors, we believe great design is more than aesthetics—it’s about creating spaces that enhance everyday living. Our expertise in interior and exterior design allows us to craft environments that feel intentional, functional, and connected to their surroundings.

Whether designing a home or business, we ensure every detail aligns with your vision while balancing beauty, practicality, and investment value. At Modlux, your space is more than a design—it’s a reflection of you.
Desiree always knew she wanted to be a designer. She was fascinated by interior styling from a young age which led her into the interior design program at Vancouver Island University. After completing her design accreditation, she contracted to work for a custom construction and interior design company in Comox, BC.
In 2015, Desiree built and incorporated Modlux Interiors Inc in Campbell River as a full-scope design firm and started to build her clientele and contacts. Her vision for the company is a 4-6 person team where each designer brings a unique style and background as well as professional experience to create a diverse practice of design.
With a passion for business and being exceptionally detail-oriented, she strives for excellence in each and every project from teamwork to the delivery of the final product. She creates with an understanding that client preferences, lifestyle, natural environment, context and idiosyncrasies of each project is what fuels the design. Each project is one-of-a-kind because the people and the plans who define its inspiration are as unique as a fingerprint.
As a business owner, mother of twins, and “camp wife,” the founder of House of 4 Design joins Modlux Interiors Inc. as Business Partner and Principal Designer. She brings a decade of experience with high-profile brands Lululemon and Aritzia where she managed production cost-control and complex delivery schedules, ensuring multi-million dollar product lines maintained design integrity while staying on budget.
Since returning to the Island, she has specialized in NKBA-standard millwork and launched House of 4 Design—a streamlined “design-build” model for kitchen and bath renovations that offers clients a seamless, one-stop experience.
She approaches design analytically, identifying pain points to create solutions that are as purposeful as they are showpiece-worthy. Her “everything has a home” design philosophy, paired with a discipline for budgets, processes and end-to-end project management, ensures both the firm’s operations and her clients’ renovations run seamlessly.
Brianna graduated with her Bachelor of Interior Design degree from Vancouver Island University in 2017, completing her internship with Modlux Interiors in 2016.
Since then, she has worked in flooring sales and residential design, developing a strong working knowledge of residential new construction plan sets. Brianna’s eye for detail ensures that all aesthetic selections are well coordinated, and that those details are successfully communicated through accompanying technical drawings.
Jenna chose to pursue the path of interior design for its ability to define the ways in which we interact with others and the world around us. Interior design should be beautiful, functional and accessible for everyone and Jenna accomplishes this through a variety of careful visual and technical skillsets.
Jenna brings a Bachelor of Interior Design degree from BCIT and a Fine Arts diploma from Langara College to the role. Jenna also enjoys creating with three-dimensional and functional ceramic mediums.
Jacey holds a Certificate in Interior Design from BCIT, graduating in 2021. Since then, she has worked in luxury furniture sales, where she discovered her passion for blending organic materials to transform spaces into thoughtfully curated homes.
Travelling through Europe and Southeast Asia has deeply influenced Jacey’s design philosophy, blending traditional and modern elements with a strong appreciation for craftsmanship, texture, and the natural world. These experiences continue to inspire her work, adding depth and authenticity to each project.
Originally from Ladysmith, Jacey spent four years in Vancouver before moving to Campbell River to be closer to family and embrace a more peaceful, nature-filled lifestyle.
